We are a diverse country, with many official languages and to expect every single person to have perfect English spelling, is unrealistic.

How many of the members on this forum have perfect spelling in all the other official languages of this country?

A little bit of tolerance goes a long way....Incorrect English spelling does not necessarily point to lack of education nor below standard intellect and conversely perfect spelling does not point to a good education or high intellect.

I always "try" to express myself the best I can. My English is not up to standard but hell I'm trying... I've worked for ATKV for many years where I wasn't even allowed to say the word "chop". But funny enough... there will always be someone to remind you in a nasty or rude way that your grammar, word choice or spelling is pathetic... The only reason I post in English is for everyone to understand.

Many people cannot even spell correctly or properly in their own language, thus trying to, or expressing themselves in another language, irrespective of which, is a different kettle of fish altogether. Nobody's perfect, least of all I (or should that be "me" ;-))? The purple site is not an English teaching class, and correct or incorrect spelling does not make you a better or worse person/punter. Let's all stick to the point - pun intended!

I will never be perfect in English, it has too many grammar rules, but l can convey the message, where there word order is not right just put it right and get the message.
