Most punters dont even look at that. We wil be not available for like 5 hours or more then at 2 in the morning get a call from a client who wants to make a booking for the following week. I mean was 2 in the morning the only time he can call like in ever until the next week.
So if a client calls and we no we havent made ourselfs available must we not take the call.
This wil never change. Not everyone is like you or you or you that makes a booking and actualy comes. Its because of time wasters that this is happening. Even when a client says he is on his way wil a girl stil make herself available. Why because the guy might not even arrive.
So maybe stop always blaming the girl and maybe start looking at what u guys are also doing. U guys must sort each others out. Lol. Maybe talk it out at a social. Hehehe

I for one attempt to use the system for what it is meant. When I have a gap in the day like an hour os so, I used to be able to see whoever is available at the time in the area I'm in and immediately make a booking and punter scores a punt and wg scores a client when it used to be used correctly. Win-win!
Now you spend 30 minutes contacting selfish time wasters and don't have enough time for a punt anymore so available punter doesn't get a punt and available wg doesn't get to connect and service available punter. Lose-lose!
It makes actual available wgs using the function properly lose out too as some have said in the linked threads.
So I'll say it AGAIN, there needs to be penalties like 3-5 reports of false "available now" status in a day from at least 3-5 different punters and the function be disabled for 7 days for the offending wg.
This should be proposed to the developers as well to implement with the other suggested improvements @ESA Admin

There are so many girls to choose from. U just call the next one. How do u think we feel if we get a booking and then the client doesnt even come nor does he call to say he cant make it. We as advertisers get calls/Whatsapp messages all day....and even late at night...when we don't work and put ourselves available.... But still if there's a no-show and not even an apology for not being able to make it ... We must just shut up and go on ... Fokiiiiiit not on

The option is there for the advertisers to switch off the "available now" function, so when they get a booking after switching it on they can turn it off but they don't.
The "available now" setting is set for 30 min at a time due to the advertisers getting bookings, so it will go off by itself. We know that some advertisers and venues keep switching it back on and so it keeps showing they are available the whole day.
I understand your frustration with what you are facing as the punter but try to keep in mind that the industry is very competitive and the advertisers need to maximize their exposure and use all the tools available to them to generate income.
Just a suggestion and I know it is not always possible, but maybe book ahead of time where at all possible so you can avoid disappointment.

Oh my word - I never thought I'd be in the firing line. I'm the one of the most chilled advertisers. Cheeky yes, but chilled and most of the time, don't fall short of being professional.

So I will take this comment as constructive criticism.
As well as share our travel experience with you, not as a justification but as a possible explanation as to why you may have missed your opportunity.
Angelique and I were available from the 11th - 19th if I'm not mistaken. We are both low volume providers, meaning we see a maximum of 3 clients each per day. The reason we operate this way is so that we can deliver quality service and not run off of burn out. We would like to be fully present with each client and based off of previous experience, we now know what our capacity is and have had to learn to accept our limits. We do this not only for ourselves but for the benefit of our clients.
Not being Cape Town locals, there was an incredibly high demand and on average between Angelique and myself, we get anywhere from 50 - 100 calls, text messages, WhatsApp's per day.
Please keep in mind, despite our Joburg clients being informed well in advance, they continued to contact us almost everyday.
There are times that I just can not get back to all messages and that is simply because as I put down a call, another person is calling.
The most efficient and effective way to secure a booking is to save the number listed, that way you have access to the WhatsApp status and can view regular updates throughout the day of exact availability.
It is also advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
I would also like to add - that we do sometimes reject bookings due to poor telephone manner, warnings from other advertisers or due to disregard of boundaries while communicating telephonically - if a client is pushy or rude over the phone, this energy is often the same in person and this is also from experience. If we already don't feel comfortable over the phone, we will honour our feelings to ensure that we are safe.
