This is truly heart breaking.

Thanks to the ladies who have posted the links. I hope those that need to see them do so and act on them. Support is everything.

Depression, I guess could also be a contributing factor, often hidden and unknown to those around the one suffering (i was one of them that got support after a personal thing that affected me terribly).

Remember it's never too late to talk to someone or ask for help.

Its sad and saying that person might be better off away from this world sounds so cruel but in most cases its true, they dont hurt anymore.

I am more sorry for those that are left behind.. friends , family, partners, etc...you will all be hurting for a long time to come and have guilt and doubts and emotions to deal with, you will forever wonder if you could have done something different that would have prevented this.

And truth is there was nothing that you could have done that would have made a difference.

Not loving then more or supporting them more or spending more time with them would have made a difference.

The only person that could have determined a different outcome aint here no more..and its very sad that that person never knew that, because if they did for just one second saw themselves through the fog of the drugs/alchol they would have seen themselves and would have know they are strong enough to heal.

To the OP..I hope you still reading this even though you deleted your profile...

Find a friend/ someone to talk too(not saying a professional as i know some people are still very against formal therapy, but if thats possible even beter) it wont bring her back but it will help to work through all the emotions.

Maybe turn this into something good...volunteer somewhere or donate to places that help people like her.

Years and years back there was a gentlemen that repeatedly dated girls with habits.

Everyone thought at start he was using with them or something like that. But he had other reasons for dating "junky" girls.

His sister OD while working at a very popular strip club back then, the family never knew until they where called to inform them of her passing.

He had a lot of guilt for not know what was happening in his sister's live as they where not close there was a very big age gap between them.

His methods might seem a bit unorthodox but he got maybe 70% of them into rehab. And helped them rebuild a clean life.

The easy accessibility of drugs.
The "come on, it's fun!"
The "Dutch courage"
The dare.


The police force turning a blind eye to the suppliers.
The corrupt police who protect the suppliers.

When poverty is a pandemic spreading like wildfire.
When choices made through desperation to keep a roof over ones head and bread on the table.


When politicians care not about the interest rate and the hike in petrol prices...those ripple effects... nor the problem of illegals creating an imploding socio economic infrastructure simply because ones own are suffering , nevermind those that come into SA looking for a better life.

Not only in this space where a service provider gives of oneself in the most intimate of ways, allows her very being to be exposed, enjoyed , used?...degraded?....attacked?...abused?.....

But when one is labeled and one is of a more delicate sensibility , the inevitable is the sadness that is left behind when a choice is made that ends a life others will miss most dearly.

Drugs.

And in this space my heart goes out to every single person who turns to drugs...for whatever reason...turns to alcohol....for whatever reason...and begins to spiral out of control looking to such as a crutch to the challenges of life, the feelings of guilt, disgust of self...depression.

The hope of creating a stepping stone from one space into another, an infrastructure vetted creating a network of help and guidance and education and assistance.

It is not about personal glory . It is out of pure unconditional care and love for all who are not as blessed as I.


May the Almighty be with the young lady and every person who has found themselves part of another person's passing,and to their families and friends.

Some people don't care but remember the problem doesn't lie with you it lies with the person who doesn't respect your boundaries

The responses on this thread is heart warming except for one. This shows that their are still decent people out their who can either empathize or sympathize with other human being.
