My plan is, and has been for about a decade, to retire when I feel like it, and write myself off. Right now, I'm still doing some interesting stuff, so I carry on working.

Live in a small coastal town in Thailand with left over thai lady in her 40s (preferably widowed).

Money is not the problem for me. Just a question of retirement and visa laws in Thailand in as time goes by

I agree its harsh but its big issue in most Asian countries. There are alot of women that are just discarded because they are over the age of 30 (especially in China).

In Thailand I met many Asian ladies, 30s and 40s, really beautiful women not just in their looks but as person as well, always so kind and thoughtful and just long for any form of attention and kindness back.

They are overlooked by mostly men that chase the young ones all the time. And they have needs to and its surprising what they are willing to do. She may look and behave all princess like but in the bedroom they know what to do.

Ideally I'd prefer a Japanese lady (more educated, easier to converse with but fuck me they are pickier than white women). Thai lady is next best thing, strong asian features, gorgeous dark skins and just good, kind people and they don't expect much.

Don't have enough saved to retire. Have tried a few alternative income streams over the years that didn't quite pan out, but still looking.

Being part of the sandwich generation didn't help either, large chunks of what I could have saved went toward looking after parents and siblings. But no regrets, just saying.

Saved where I could but around my late 30s I realized I was working for everyone else but myself. So used extra funds to travel, holiday, punt, spoil myself. I said fuck it- one life to live. So again, no regrets.

If things don't work out in the next couple years I'll most likely be still working past 65.
