One thing I don't understand about reincarnation.
If we all come back again, why is it that the population is increasing?
Surely the population should stay the same number?

I am by no means a reincarnation expert and I certainly do not have a mathematical formula that will answer your question to your satisfaction, but imo I think the following can play a role, wrt to population growth, bearing in mind that the human body is purely the temporary vessel of the soul:
1. Lower forms of life can possibly be reincarnated on a higher plane of existence - for instance animal to human.
2. In our limited human understanding, we assume that for every human that dies, the soul can only be reincarnated into 1 human body at a time, this assumption could be wrong.
3. We also assume that the souls of the recently departed are waiting only within the earthly plane (between life and life) to be reincarnated, yet the universe is vast, with possibly even parallel universes (if you delve into quantum physics), therefore there could be vast amounts of souls waiting to be reincarnated on planet earth in our timeline or even elsewhere, assuming that souls can choose where they want to be reincarnated.
4. In our limited human understanding, we assume that there are only X amount of souls and that no new souls are created, this assumption could be wrong.
5. The time span between departure from human body and rebirth is variable, with some waiting possibly thousands of years to reincarnate, whilst others reincarnate much sooner.

I agree with you 100%. What kind of asshole does he have to be preparing a hell for people before even creating said people.
It is crazy that in 2018 there are still people out there believing in some imaginary sky daddy. All religions were invented my man. Man invented God, there was no God that invented man. The last time I mentioned this, some delusional WG attempted to convince me that "quantum physics" proves the existence of god. Even worse, a punter who is considered an intellectual, mentioned that it is deep philosophy that makes him believe in god. Ironically his religion not only forbids sex outside of marriage but also being in the company of women who is not your relative or your wife. Seems his philosophy is not deep enough to respect his so called god's teachings. As many hypocritical religious punters do. Just like Bill Cosby, the ever good christian who secretly for decades was just another rapist.
To be truly free, one has to let go of all this superstitious shit. Religion and the invention of god was the very worst acts of man.

Nothing survives the human body after death. Humans are just wired to seek comfort and attach meaning to their insignificant existence in the universe by creating something like a "soul" or life after death.

I fully understand your point of view, which I respect and which you are entitled to. Most people will only believe in something, if they actually witness it with their own eyes or if there is scientific proof published. There is nothing wrong with wanting definitive scientific proof that the soul exists. There has been various scientific studies done on the subject, which I will not bore you with, as I am sure you are familiar with it already.
My belief in reincarnation does not stem from fear of death or the need to find meaning in my life, nor does it point to blind faith, but instead my belief stems from visual proof (not regression therapy, not hypnosis, not dreams, not thoughts, not books, not gurus, not hallucinations) of my previous life - and no, I do not drink or do drugs, I am quite sane and I was wide awake and in the company of other people, in a public place, when I had the visual experiences.
Additionally my belief in the existence of a soul and the reason that I also know for a fact that the soul lives on after the body dies, is based on numerous personal visual experiences that I have witnessed since childhood until now.
Having said that, I do however realize and I also do accept that my beliefs and personal experiences wrt to the spiritual world, will be subject to possible ridicule by those who have not experienced and seen what I have in my life - I have made peace with that long ago.
The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the following:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.
With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I go out with you", and take into account the fact that I went out with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.
The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore extinct . . . leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being, which explains why last night Teresa kept shouting "Oh, my God!"
That's why I'm making up for lost time now.
