Absolutely, never goes away. You just try and learn to manage the pain and anguish better. And learn to relish in the bliss you felt in those memories and moments you shared and created with that person. Learning to be grateful and humbled that you got to have that illusive love and connection that not all get to experience. For whatever period of time. If it didnt last a lifetime.

I still battle to do something simple like make scrambled eggs or spinach without my heart skipping a beat and remembering his smile. The way his eyes lit up? Argh. Being human isnt easy?

No it doesn't, and unfortunately for most it will only happen once in a lifetime.

Each day that passes you learn to accept those feelings, you try and hide them deep inside of you, but there wil always be something that awakens them, brings them back, be it a smell, a place, an item, a song, a movie. Then the hurt, possibly regret for what you did to loose that person is right back there.

For me, I will never love anyone the same. Will never hurt someone like I did. But will never loose the feelings I have and will always live in hope that one day will be forgiven.

That's hetic man ....hope you get the chance to apologize or ask for forgiveness ....it can't be good living like that
