I don't see the problem with renting to a WG. You can probably charge a premium on the rent (not the you need the money), rent is paid strictly in cash, make sure that you still pay her for services, you will probably get even better service.

If privacy is anissue, then build a wall. You'll need it for any normal tenant anyway. If you are having a braai and she gets a client, then just say to the family that it must be her boyfriend. Not many celibate tenants around.

@myword, if I was in your situation, I'd be tempted as well. However, as Johnd stated, privacy is paramount. In your case even though the cottage has a separate entrance, it's not private, unless you build a wall. If your regular is reasonable, she'll understand. Besides, having your regular renting from you would change the dynamics of the relationship. Perhaps you can point her in the right direction for accommodation...

I decided to build a wall between the house and cottage. So told her she can move in for period of Two months. After that will decide if its working or not.. Both agreed upon that..so let see.
