I would like to believe it can and am holding on to that hope but the only way for that to happen is for racist views to not be passed down through generations. No one is born racist. You can pass all the laws you want but that does nott make people "unracist", they just aim to protect people from racism. Change starts in the heart.

When I pick up my three year old son from creche every day, I see how him and his peers from different races interact. In their eyes they are just kids and when we are walking to the car park a white girl can call my sons name out loud and wave goodbye and my son returns the gesture but we the parents look at each other and give each other that fake smile hahaha.

I know of a human rights case in Holland where a doctor of morrocan descent could not get a job at several hospitals. I'm some instances not even an interview. When she approached the human rights commission they decided to test the race issue by changing her name on her cv to a Dutch name and she got several offers without even an interview. Case pending.
