Ok, so 8 hours sleep would be unrealistic, but I used it for my rough "calculation" anyway. If I were to do an allnighter (highly unlikely for me though), I'd expect bring the house down passionate sex, some sleep, then more bring the house down sex, the kind of sex I'd have had when I'd met a new partner, before things settled into the dreaded routine. If an allnighter is counted as an after hours bonus, wouldn't the normal rates not apply anyway? So, yes, I think R3500 to R4000 is more than fair...

Just to add another element to your costing. You need to also factor in the cost of the business you loose during the all nighter. If you were at home you could probably fit several other clients into your evening (If you work evenings)

Higher costs also can be used to control supply and demand. At your current rates, I'm surprised you have to do hourly sessions.

Yes fun I do allnighters with clients I haven't met before. Marcus I only have 5 hours a day to tri and do a booking or more. Honestly ill rather do traveling then see clients at home. I love the outdoors and seeing new places and faces. I don't see clients at night unless its a 3/5hour appointment or when I know my client well. I don't like working from home at night because every neighbour is home and to many cars can rise suspicion.

Ladies I think 1 should consider that the client has to cover expenses aswell such as hotel room and drinks probably even dinner and a movie or entrance fee to a club all depending on what the night is about.
1 should be fair and also considerate on both parties after all an all nighter does not mean sex from the time you enter till the time you leave.

@localhunk, dude I disagree with your statement that because clients have to cover costs of food, drinks, entertainment, etc wg's have to keep that in mind when quoting fees. Quite frankly most wg's can afford to pay for their own food and drinks. In my opinion expecting to pay a lesser fee and deducting costs for drinks and food is just plain lousy and cheap.

Before agreeing to a booking, I verify that the client is a chivalrous and generous gentleman. These are traits I seek in all men. Should he book me for the evening and extend an invitation for dinner he should not expect to deduct the cost thereof from my fees. If it hurts his pocket to spend money for my company and services he should not book in the first place. I see no reason why guys feel that wg's should consider cost of hotel, food, drinks, etc. Some very funny comments on this thread about wg's getting eight hours sleep. Deduced calculations that wg's should charge R1500 for all nighters.

By nature I am very generous and giving person but I do not ever let a men think he is doing me a favour by paying for my food and drinks. I am not unreasonable in my fees for overnight bookings but I will never do a booking for a man who even hints at a lower price because dinner and drinks are part of the evening.

@Meg every wg charges different rates at different times for overnights. Wg's who charge higher rates than what you are charging can do so if they wish. They have their reasons for doing so and no other wg or client has the right to say they overcharging. I never concern myself with what other wg's are charging. Set a price that I am content with and that is feasible to me. I adjust rates according to duration of booking and distance. I have been blessed with such kind hearted and generous clients. Clients who love indulging me. I just have to mention a desire or fantasy and they make it happen.
