Hellosailer, you have missed my point, which is mostly my fault as I accidentally left out a zero when I wrote R100 and not R1000 plus. (The latter amount was however clearly implied).

The issue is a straightforward one, not one that one can simplistically reduce to "class versus plonkers", as you suggest, or any of the equally misogynist alternatives contributors to this board choose to make. The question was asked at the top of this thread: Can someone who charges £200-£250 in the UK command a similar price in SA? My answer was that no, they cannot. By my guestimate, a real cost of living exchange rate of around five rands to the pound puts that at about R1000-R1500. My suggestion is that it is unlikely that an escort working in SA would get that on a regular basis. Perhaps I am mistaken. I doubt that I am.

Hi George: Unfortuneately Whatalot asked the original question and based it around Josefine. There are no other girls I think that work in both countries on a regular basis, and of course the price is different in both counties and I dont accept your 5 to 1 differece in costs, the rand excahnge rate is +10 to 1. Hellosailer - the issue is getting muddled. Let me be clear (1) I live in both London and Johannesburg, spending around 6 months a year in each city. In my own experience, which may be different to yours, a reasonable cost-of-living relative to prevalent salaries exchange rate is around 5 to 1. By this I mean, if you consider the cost of rent, transport, food, etc., and the relevant salaries in each city, then what costs you five rands in Johannesburg costs you around 1 pound in London. Clearly this is not the same as the actual exchange rate of 11 to 1. But it is a fair reflection of what it costs punters like you and I to buy the services of a working girl, relative to the cost-of-living / salaries earned in each city.
(2) I have not been with Josephine, and am sure she is wonderful. My comments were not about her at all, but about the costs of working girls in SA versus those in the UK.
(3) If we look at the level of disposable income available to punters in SA, then, assuming my experience of the cost-of-living/salary mix is accurate, then punters in SA get far better value than they do in the UK. The top end of the escort market in SA costs a bit less than the equivalent in the UK - but not that much less - and offers a lot more, in terms of personal service. UK escorts can get very clinical.
(4) Finally, I don't mean in anyway to suggest that one should try and negotiate prices downwards. I have never bargained with a working girl, and don’t intend to do so now. They provide a service for which I am willing to pay. There is, and I am sure you agree, little worse than persons seeking always to force the price down and undervalue the services they receive.

By George, George you are beating me into submission! I also live in three cities, London, Johanessburg and Milano. I spend unequal times in all. However I will take you up on Kama her site looks great and well she seems expert on the Kama Sutra, is she? In SA unfortunately we do have certain individuals from a certain ethnic group who always want to bargain, bargain. A number of white girls I visit actually tell me that usually after about a month of allowing that ethnic group, they go back to their whites only policy.
