Just to be clear, I worked with her a bit beginning of the year, I thought she would have been adequate for something I had in mind but it didn't work out... she currently does not report into me or anything like that. When I mean didn't work out, I had to take more senior people in the company for what I had in mind, I under estimated what was required.

Not to bring up an old topic I read but to long ago, but with ESA you sometimes don't know what you are getting into, I've been burned several times with ladies who have pictures which make them look like models, but look nothing like that... With this I at least know what she looks like, and like what I see...

Too many variables you can't control. She's cool now, but what happens if she wants more? What happens if she just gets randomly angry with you? Not sure if you're married, but what happens if she decides to contact your wife? What happens if she just decides to gossip about you at work? What if that gossip includes your relative performance (she's already proven happy to throw the BF under the bus)? She doesn't report to you now, but what if she does one day? What happens if her perspective on what happened shifts as she matures?

Sure, you can mitigate by sharing texts and what-not, and company policy might allow for it, but would how well do you trust the guys enforcing said policy to give you a fair hearing?

Once it's done, there's no going back. And the way the world works nowadays, it can bite you in the arse in years to come. In this game, we all take risks, but I don't recommend taking any risk that can mess with your livelihood, however remote.
