I miss Johnny's Chicken roti, just stay away from the bunny chows. I had one once and chicken looked like baby bird (or rat)

In terms of commercial hot sauces Nali from Malawi is a great compromise between taste and heat - it is hot!. Also Cheeky Chilli from Zimbabwe - I had forgotten all about until a colleague brought some back some months back. Are any of these available in SA?

I had the most amazing Biryani this Friday. Oleaginous with ghee but with just the right degree of lubricity so that the rice, flesh and potatoes, with saffron mixed in, just had that lovely unctuous consistency which only a master Indian chef can achieve.

The noble art of Indian cookery is a skill worth cultivating.
