Yes, it is more expensive. Yes, be careful with the Nigerians. Quality in Dubai, like everywhere else, is a function of wallet size. There are many places in Johannesburg offering substandard punts because that's what you pay for.
I've been punting in both South Africa and Dubai for ten years now. My number one and number two regular girls are both based in Dubai (I occasionally fly one down to SA). Prefer it in Dubai.
I can PM ways on going about punting in Dubai so that you don't get the sub-standard experiences :), even if you're on a budget.
