I've recently been chatting to friends about their income and expenses, as some have just graduated and entered the corporate world.

Their jobs, while academic and challenging, lack the emotional integrity an MG or WG puts in. We make an effort to remember each client, empathize, sympathize and satisfy.

While we show up on time (no sorry boss I'm a bit late due to traffic for us!), and we can often attend work without actually working, and therefore having no income while incurring expenses.

My peers openly discuss their packages which include yravel allowances, fuel allowances, some medical provision, pension and provident fund contribution, Paid annual and sick leave...

Most of us girls are afraid to take a day off incase that's the day the phone rings non stop...

Most of us can't save, or contribute to a pension, when this month is good you keep the spare knowing it may have to cover essentials next month . A girl can't splurge and spoil herself today incase she falls ill tomorrow...

I hope this provides some light?

Dear Ladylover... thank you for understanding... wow... I appreciate it soooo much... we are only trying our best. I was a housewife... no degree... no experience... I have to do the best I can... for some of us it's survival...

Thanks Ms Paige for sharing your info. I for one did not quite realise what it takes! Lots of respect for you and all the ladies! And then always traging us nicely, even when you may have so much stress yourself. We can still afford stress relieve, yet most of you probably sdeserve it so much more!

May this economy soon turn for the better!

LADIES: PROOF OF MY POINT !!!

Ive also been building myself up here in cpt because i realised how bad jhb is at the moment. In a period of 4days i have been staying here ive managed to make what i make in 2weeks in jhb. Your comment is exactly how I've seen my light too, girls in jhg don't realise.

Lots of respect for you ladies , times are tough for everyone, I hope things turn for the best to all the wonderful ladies.
Sometimes when I book a lady, just talking to her makes me feel better, getting stuff of my chest. Believe when I say you provide more than just the extras we pay for.

AND ANOTHER ONE....

"She indicated she is from Randburg and that she would leave this past Friday but will be back for another week or two (as business in Cape Town is apparently good)"

I would like to begin with the disclaimer used in the 1st message.

However much girls on this site are struggling we need to remember that most of the country is in the same situation.

I am a salary earner so I get a fixed income, of which over 30% goes to sars. I start working at 8pm and finish after 7pm everday (11 hours). And when I say work I mean really work hard.

If WGs worked for 6 hours a day Mon-Fri, even at R500 an hour they would make R3000 per day which is R60000 per month 'tax free'.

Unfortunately overheads is a pain to most self employed people who are losing everything they own due to the economy.

As for the unfair practices, self reviews on fake profiles and convincing punters to post reviews and ratings (of a few WGs) - most WGs are genuinely struggling in this cut throat business.

Let's hope the economy improves soon to make life easier for all of us. In the meantime we need to tighten our belts (and zips:) and get out of this downward spiral and find innovative ways of surviving.

Best of luck to all WGs and punters ...

Forgot to include:

Self-pity is not going to help any of us. We all know the situation we are in is not going to fix itself anytime soon. So we need to face it and find a way to make it better.

Sorry if I offended anyone in my previous message- it was not my intention.

Best of luck.
