Lots of people, both men and women, try to change their jobs or careers in order to better themselves.
Some succeed.
Some do not.
Failure in a new venture is difficult to accept and the embarrassment of failure in the new venture is sometimes used to belittle the person who did not succeed.
The comments from former colleagues, clients and suppliers can make the failure seem far worse than it actually is.
Time heals people from all walks of life....accountants...lawyers....buyers...sales reps...secretaries...clerks...and sex workers.

It doesn't apply to us the same because people think we are here because we are stupid or useless to begin with! They fail to acknowledge that there are other factors involved for many of us that make it much more complicated!
The stigma is also something that destroys our personal lives as far as relationships go and is even used against women who have kids by their exs etc. Normal professions certainly don't include that.
