When does one decide to give up or to hang in there? How do you make this decision?

We all have children and expenses which this industry cant support anymore because times are too tough and industry too quiet. On the other side, to get a normal job outside this industry doesnt pay nearly enough...

So based on what do i make this decision?

The question you need to ask is why are some ladies sooo very very busy and why some ladies barely make it???

You have the right package so maybe....you need a change!

Change of area can do the world of difference.
Come to JHB for a few days a week!

Change of services can bring in a whole new group of new blood!
There are sooooo many different types of massages one can learn and add to your awesome package!

Run specials of adding stuff, Like hot stone massage included for free this month.
It's like any other business, You need to think up new ways to market yourself, new ways of improving your services.
Even adding things like male grooming, foot fetishes what ever you are comfortable with go for it, the sky is the limit.

New ways of attracting in new customers is a on going issue for ANY business and NEVER EVER give up!
Hustle! Hustle! Hustle is the key to success!

I am willing share tricks and tips to help you get more clients within days!
If you are interested please send me a pm.

I love sharing my knowledge!

Wishing you only success !

luv

Nicky,

There was a lot said in this thread already but in essence I want to add and highlight some of the points:

Swopping this for other work - You mentioned that other jobs may pay less. It could pay more as well but not likely for all.

The key is to get more than one income stream and to buy our the time you have when it is quiet by focusing that time on another income stream.

Return customers in any business or service is better than finding new customers every time. Be it in this business or another.

I had a hobby a few years ago that focused on more expensive items and in 2008 is sold that little business lock stock and barrel for less than what it was worth in theory because I saw the slump in the economy then. Now we have something worse....

In short:

Any money is better than no money (Meg)

Get more clients ( a few ladies alluded to that and incentivize and reward and run competitions and all)

Get another business or 2 to run alongside.

Never quit, keep trying and keep pushing and keep on believing in yourself.

Hi Nicky, We all have a "Sell by Date". This business probably earlier than most due to the demands of its emotional and physical nature. All businesses need to be constantly be aware of the surrounding economy, competition and rules of "Supply and Demand".Sometimes your crisis will be the mother of your own invention. What I encourage you to do is re-invent yourself. Not necessarily in this business but in your future life. Study, study, study.
UNISA or whatever tertiary institution. Do your matric if you have not done that. Use a portion of your income to invest in yourself. Many a great lawyer was educated in the University of Life. Choose a 2nd career and give yourself time to reach your goal, but persevere. Great things were never achieved overnight. Put the quite moments of your job to good use and you will be amazed at how quickly the time passes and the assignments reap their rewards. Before you know it you will have a degree in your hands and the means of opening new doors.
The human brain is an amazing organ and is the one muscle we can train over and over again to achieve new heights. Start small, end big.
Good luck.

Hey Nicky!

It's hard to leave! I built up my skills on the side before making my exit. It's been a tough road, but well worth my sanity. I saved before exiting the industry, which was difficult as prices rose and clients had less to spend.
I left when financially I had enough saved for a few months expenses, and another opportunity came my way. Emotionally it took me a month to really get over being in the industry.
Now I find I miss the drama! I stayed in touch with a few girls who left before and after me, basically all say they would go back if times got tough, as earned income is always better than no income, and being in the purple world always had it's fun days!
All the best hun.

Nicky you are earning money now. Business is tough everywhere. If you leave the industry, make sure it is a positive descision that will benefit you and your children.

I do not know what your circumstances are, but it would be great if you could do something on the side. Even if it is Promotional work. You can Google a company that needs ladies. Just an idea.

I wish you well and hope it all works out for you.
