I do not condone the type of review left by caligula69 however as we have seen many have come out in defence of the lady. And we now know not to depend on reviews by Caligula. I think this is valid information regardless. And it means the structures of this site are suitably functioning.
Further discouraging punters coming forward to put their thoughts and experiences down in such a manner
"If unclear/uncertain rather DO NOT POST at all."
certainly depreciates the value of this site. I value all reviews equally and do find some sort of information in each review even if they are all lies. Please lets not discourage punters, especially the new unsure guys from posting reviews.
The site is built on reviews of punters, any sort of discouragement by the site administrators will surely reduce reviews on the site, thereby devaluing this amazing site to us punters, further devaluing it to your amazing advertisers. Please support an increase in reviews and not a decrease.
We already see a drop in reviews, let alone detailed reviews and comments for fear of banning.
There is no drop in reviews at all, there is however an increase in very malicious reviews which are not in the slightest constructive to the advertiser or any use to the punter.
We and I'm certain punters also would prefer quality reviews over quantity of reviews. In posting there is no fear of being banned if you conduct yourself as gentleman.
Direct malicious reviews are very damaging to an advertisers ability to earn a living, so we will be more diligent in policing malicious posters.
Please note that my statements are from my personal experience of your site. What is causing this perception is unknown to myself, and is not the point of my post.
Given the large punter base this site caters to, in comparison, there is only a small handful that post reviews, and still an even smaller number that are actually reliable reviews. (in my experience)
I accept and thank you for your willingness to be more vigilant and mark or highlight malicious and fake reviews.
I will however like to discourage further comments by site management discouraging interaction on your website as although you may limit malicious reviews with such statements, you may further limit valid punters from posting their personal experiences.
My own experience in posting my personal experiences on esa is that it is difficult, as I personally appreciate above all else my anonymity, to have a further perceived threat to worry about from site management, will certainly guarantee non-participation from more than a few other punters.
Your statements although not explicit does have a certain "or else" feel to it. Site-admin and site-support statements do carry such authority.
@Caligula69...your review and comments on Sky is not true and unacceptable...either you found you did not 'click' or Sky just did not do it for you and posted maliciously. This is so not on.
