The other thing that has added to my move away has been the crappy service that seems to be the trend lately....

Oh,they resurface 2years later,if that long.
'Hi Nadia, it's Johan.....remember me? The guy with the white Hilux'....Yip, every 2nd guy is a Johan with a white Hilux.
'I used to come there regularly, you'll recognise me.'
And true as Bob....I'll recognise
him....from every venue I've ever worked at. Funny how over the years I bumped into the same guys no matter where I worked.
I have noticed that, like Wgs, those disappear quietly are more likely to stay out. The bigger the song and dance about leaving, the more likely they'll be back.
But I also realize that making the statement that they're leaving seems to make it a more definite and concrete step for some.

@Durban guy.. Indeed Esa is here to promote punting, but i think there is no harm in assisting/advicing those that would like to quit.
@10four I agree with u boredom and loneliness are also the cause, which reminds me of a saying "idling mind is the tools of a devil".But going for a massage and have a sexy nude girl massaging and sliding all over your body and not feel the need to punt,I don't think I can be able to do that.I think this one also depends on the age.
@johnd I disagree but I respect your input.basically it looks like once u start punting u can never go back because not every guy out there is a punter and has never punted. We punter are simply hooked to paid sex.Why not rather have multiple partners that u can reward yourself with after a successful project as opposed to a WG?I still maintain this is pure addiction,it's got nothing to with evolution. This is one of those subjects we can debate until jesus comes back. Thanks for your input!

@MBHAZIMA I am in the same boat as you. I however believe we all have different reason why we have this addiction. There is something that this outcome is fulfilling. To those that can control it, awesome for them, for guys like us, it is actually a real problem.

It's all about control, I found myself supremely tempted and initially gave in quite a few times but I realized that I'm in control of this, not the other way around and it's worked wonders. Some people go cold turkey and some wean themselves off of it depending on their personality. Cold Turkey didn't work for me and that's okay and in happy to have progressed to where I am now. I've also developed newfound respect for the ladies in the profession.

I have personally stopped punting for 6 months. Been punting for about 8 years, at least twice a month.
I occasionally browse the forums, contemplate a booking, call the lady and change my mind. I get reminded by all the sub par punts over the years.
All my regulars have moved on, and it appears that I have too.

I think there are a couple of issues with stopping.
There are those with a full blown addiction who, without being disrespectful, do not have the wherewithal to stop without assistance, just like smoking, alcohol or drugs. There are several studies that discuss the topic of brain chemistry and how many people become addicted to the hormones and chemicals that we naturally produce in our bodies.
If you are one of the above then simply seek help. Seeing a shrink, psych and brain doc comes with a whole load of preconceived biases but they can help.
Then there are the ones that believe they should stop because what we are doing is wrong! What would happen if their Wife, Dominee, Pries, Rabbi, Imaan etc found out? To those it is a battle of conscience. Prayer, counselling, prolonged regular and enthusiastic self-pleasuring, I really don’t know what the answer is.
Some, like me treat punting like a swimming pool. I might not swim for months but then I’ll be in the pool every morning and evening for weeks. No reason to stop but no reason to indulge at every possible opportunity.
I had a prolonged deep seated addiction to prescription pain killers for year. My wife said she would be gone if I did not get it under control. I did it. If I can do that I can do anything. If she told me to stop punting I would. If you can’t then you either have a problem with in your own psyche or she is not the one for you.
I guess it all depends on why a person thinks they should stop and the manner that they justify their actions and motivations to themselves.
If you want to stop then stop, if you do not have to and enjoy it then don’t. If you are undecided then try to go without and see how it goes until you have made your decision. If you cannot stop then see help.

I usually visited different ladies, but recently most of the times I only visited one. Does it mean 'resign'?
