Robs

Would really likie to know the source of your comment on people using English in it's correct way ? Rather doubting your source me boy ....

Yanks : As I mentioned before, one should not shut off the learning curve. Leads to stagnation and ultimately : STUPIDITY AND RIDICULE

Cheers

@Pieter - right you are sir....pity some peoples minds on these forums are so backwards that not matter how time takes us forward their way of thinking and lack of acknowledgment of new things they should learn from but dont... will always leave them in the past

Yankee

I have personally learnt such a lot from Ben, it boggles the mind that others cannot see the benefit of learning and growing each and every day.

@Pieter

A Princeton university study (ironically called Consequences of Erudite Vernacular Utilized Irrespective of Necessity) by Daniel M. Oppenheimer shows that writing with unnecessarily long words tends to have the unintended effect of making you look dumber.

@Robbymajor... Pieterd & Yankee were referring to correct grammar and spelling... Not "unnecessary" long words.
Just saying..

I care less about 100% correct grammar than the clarity and logic of the written word on public forums (or is it fora?). As long as the message comes across clearly it's not a big deal. After all, English is not the first or even the second or third language of many people, myself included.
What gets up my nose is this txt spk. Hlf da tym I dnt no wtf is mnt...

Yip another vote for non text speak....i dont get it, its not an excuse because the persons english is bad. If anyhing its another form of language derived from the original. Kinda like oros....then you mix the soda and dilute the original recipe.

I am writing this slowly so that those who don't speak English as their first language can read it more easily :)
