I have been looking into the Blyde in Pretoria East as a property investment.
The one with that beach development.
Would you say yes or no?

You sir have mail. I hope it assists you in your decision :)

Why asking punters for investment advice? Yes, some punters might be in the financial industry, but honestly I dont ask my attorney medial advice...
Surely we all have opinions, but is that any good?

I don't agree with Stommerik at all.
I have found many very insightful and clever people on this site.
I am often amazed how bright so many of the members of this forum are.
Many words of wisdom and advice I have found to be invaluable.
So don't see any issues with asking for advice.

No issue in asking for advice. But unless you know from whom it is coming, no point in acting on it... :-)

Hats off too you Jullian.

@ Stormmerik i have forwarded you all my details go do your homework and eat your words. I sir am qualified to advice to the best of my ability and if I can't I'm sure my principal can assist ;)

Also im sure there are many people with diverse backgrounds and diverse careers who are also able to give advice dont just asume people on ESA have no vlue about whats going on in the rest of the world. I have come across some really resourceful people on ESA believe it or not.

I know a few estates in jhb what Balwin created. Recently i saw they made an estate just side the n4 going east

Most Balwin estates in jhb are charged R1700-R2000 (depending how big it is and bedrooms).

Before you buy, ask how much the levies, rates and taxes and who is the estate manager! Thats inportant question

They will make or break you, as easy as that

"Unless you know from whom it is coming". So Melina, it seems you would qualify as an expert. That puts your advice in a different category. But an investor should only act, if he knows that.

Sjoe, people are sensitive on this topic... Appologies if i offended anyone - was not my intention. Only warned that when getting advice, you should find out whether the person supplying the advice is really qualified and/or experienced.

I'm hardly a expert at times I still need to turn to my principal for advice who knows maybe one day I can pirate my own ship. For know I have other goals to obtain.

I think people including myself can can become defensive especially on ESA as we are often undermind because of this industry. When in reality some of the sharpest knives in the draw are amongst us.
