It should be a little worrying for the US, that China, Japan and S Korea are promoting free trade within those countries in retaliation to trumps tarrifs. Those 3 countries are not the best of mates but they have put their differences aside to fight a common enemy..
And China isn't backing down, their latest comment from its minister
"The US should "return to the right track of dialogue and cooperation at an early date," a Foreign Ministry official said earlier this month. But "if war is what the US wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we're ready to fight till the end."
I wouldn't take this lightly, they are not known for making hollow public comments much like trump
