Never heard of a bank freezing an account for a small deposit. They only delay deposits over R2mil in general to do some verification.

This should be just a case of "not my problem" and move on.

What scanners do if you provide a payslip..... She can claim she works for you or your company.
And we all know what can happen then.
If she really did not get her funds meet her at her bank and say it's a donation from your side or give her a letter to that affect.

JackParrow the bank freezes international funds , till you sort out your FICA info and or comply with the reason for receiving funds and we have to supply the initials and surname of the sender.... I receive funds from Ireland and the UK at least once a month...
I always get an email in this regard....
But round the end of Dec I received a 1k payment and no notification via email....so by the end of 7days, I didn't declare the necessary info (including updating my FICA info, and they put a hold on my account.... I only got to do an affidavit and certified copy of my ID by round the 13th...so I had no access to my account until I submitted all of the above mentioned.... And literally the same day my account was "released from hold"

It was a pain in the arse...coz whatever funds I had in my account, I needed to pay bills online....and had to contact everyone to tell them I'll be paying them once I have access to my funds....
It was very stressful, but I'm glad it is now over

I'm not talking about FICA hun. Yes, accounts get frozen for that as they should. All accounts should be FICA'd so if someone didn't do what they were supposed to do years ago or when they opened the account and don't comply with the law despite numerous polite requests, then the banks have no choice but to comply with the law and freeze the account.

This is a deposit and very different from normal compliance.
