I'm also not entirely sure why you are being so defensive and making statements that suggest the rest of us should leave the same way we entered.

There's another free will, being that free will to express opinion. Which you'll notice is being done so with forethought and facts. Opinions don't need to align themselves with yours. Its a public Top 10 in a public forum, where healthy debate should be encouraged.

The only way a statistically correct top 10 could occur would be in the event all WGs are reviewed equally by all. Which won't happen

Why won't it ? All the Gold Member can assign points to anyone they visit, if the rest chose not then that is the fault of the other gold members who do. Open to all or not, it makes no real difference as there is a high number of GM's here all visiting a variety of different girls who they could vote for at any time they wanted. They chose not to, and that's their right.

I am not being defensive. I am pointing that if you are upset about the current voting system then join the system and vote. That is democracy.
If you are unhappy with it and chose not to be a part of it then you are free to do what you will, you are not being stopped from joining, you are choosing not to join and now want those rights extended to you anyway.

And I don't understand why you are unhappy with my commenting in one sentence yet you say debate should be encouraged in the next. This is exactly what I am doing, debate requires opposing opinions otherwise it's an agreement surely.

Let me put another spin on this debate.

Population in SA : 55 million
Voters registered 2014 : 25 million
Voters that voted : 18,5 million
Percentage voters as oppose to population : 33 %

If only 33% of our population thought it necessary to vote for our Government, what possible percentage would worry about voting for the Top 10 ? Much less than 33%.

I'm a few things, but slow isn't one of them.

Its very clear what you said
"You came here voluntarily, so if you don't like the system you may always leave the same way."

Now you can try respin any you like but it won't change that it's been said.

Back to the debate
Its also incredibly easy to see that the same girls receive votes from the same group of people. Also, equally easy to see is that Gold Members cannot represent the punting population. That's plain arithmetic. Therefore the results of the current Top 10 can only be those of the voting gold members.

It's without doubt a Top 10, it just happens to be one bias towards the slither of people who vote it into being.

Additionally I didn't mention unhappiness, I did mention your defensive position, Which I maintain is somewhat odd.

Ill call a deal though, you can continue to create your top 10s and I'll continue not to take them into consideration when making my decisions for the reason I have now painfully explained.

I do believe that was the origin of thread to begin with from Meg. She questioned the Top 10, I'm merely adding my thoughts.

In my opinion,Competition is healthy as is feedback.

A valid point that only Goldmembers affect the scoring of the top 10.

Of course it is an honour to be in top 100 and feature on top 10 for the month.

But.
There should be no discrepancy as to service offered to basic or gold member.
Both reviews are equally important and carry the same weight.

Russian Bridgette is the perfect example: she has had 6 positive reviews this month (Oct) but only one was a GM so if they were all G/M's then she would be No.ONE right now.....I rest my case....by the way, Well done Miss B!

It really does NOT mean they are the best!

I stand by what I said... the point was that you have the free will to make any move you want, no one is holding a gun to your head. You chose to join ESA, you chose not to become a Gold Member, if you are unsatisfied then by all means get a gold membership and vote and get some new talent on the list.

It's not a defensive position, for that you would have needed to make an argument for which I cannot respond... I have stated my thoughts on the topic and nothing more. Why any argument that is opposition is considered odd in something for you to work through as I don't see anything odd about it when people are having a discussion.

If you will note my voting history, I have voted once in 9 years... so why is it "my" Top 10 ?

I also want to make something very clear, I have not, nor will I ever call you slow... These is so far a reasoned debate between a few people with opposing views, nothing more.

Another separate argument, I have paid in full for my membership, for the extra's it entails, why should I accept that it should be watered down ?

This is normal in any voting system, a statistical 100% voter turnout is almost as rare as Unicorns. I would also point out that there is no guarantee of a higher percentage of voters if it is opened to all members, nor is there any guarantee of the Top 10 changing as they could have the same statistical amount of voters with the regular memberships.
As was mentioned there is about 1400 members here, yet only a few regulars seem to be active on the forum and while more actually do submit reviews I am sure the statistics would be very similar if you looked only at the Gold Members.... X percent GM should be similar to X percent in total as a representative figure.
Proportional representation...
