With first visit, i always put down the money where she can see it.

Once a regular, i sometimes pay upfront, sometimes at the end.

My first punt, we hit it off so well from the off that we both nearly forgot the cash even as I was leaving (three or so hours later). That was a very good evening.

But it's up to the lady. I prefer upfront.

Personally prefer go get admin stuff out the way beforehand, however, I do formulate my initial view of a person by how they respond when I ask about payment. For me a trusting person is a trust worthy person; even in an industry where scammers are abundant. If someone gives me their trust while I'm still a stranger to them I'll reciprocate much more easily.

Speaking as someone who's tried this approach and still found myself, post booking, with a man who had a total of R0 to give me, thus betraying my consent entirely... This doesn't work.

No way would I allow myself to be put in that position again. All to prove my trustworthiness to a stranger? As if I wasn't already in a pristine apartment, presenting exactly as I do on my ad - welcoming him with the same warmth mentioned in my reviews.. Having already done my part and then some...

I'd rather be deemed untrustworthy or uptight than allow men (strangers!) to misuse me in my own safe space.

This is an area I haven't been paying much attention to... often letting the lady lead me in this regard. I'll definitely adopt a cash upfront approach going forward.

Based on your comments here, we definitely need a rematch.

I mostly just do what the lady asks and most ask upfront, some only after. But reading this I will definitely myself insist on paying upfront going forward.

Always upfront, sometimes if I pay for 30mins and it's going great, I pause the action to top up to an hour, I don't know if it's just me but it feels much more transactional after the deed lol

I fully understand your situation Hazel (and that of many SPs) and would always abide by the SPs preference; just giving the perspective of what goes on in a clients head (mine not all) on the matter. And it doesn't mean I don't trust SPs who ask for cash upfront. My personally philosophy in life is 'as a fellow human, you have my trust and respect upfront, until you lose it'. I know it's not a philosophy many SPs can apply, or any business in general, but when I find similar minded people I just connect with them alot easier.

Have I been hurt by this philosophy? Countless times. Am I naive? No.
