Not that a client has ever refused to pay upfront, but next time ask the client to at least take the cash out and put it on his side of the bed by his wallet and keys. If he refuses, tell him you've been burnt before and if he's unwilling to show the goods upfront then neither are you!

We give clients way to much credibility and we strangely still believe that people aren't as underhanded and devious as they prove themselves to be time and again! Then again, it works the other way around with some service providers that scam clients! And people wonder why I shove my arm down a gift horse throat!

Learn from your mistakes but never let them change who you are! We often adapt to evil inflicted on us as if we are the problem! The problem is theirs and not yours babe! Just take precautions to protect yourself! Any client worth your time will not mind proving that he is there with good intention!

Every decision I make in this game is based on experience, not just once or twice but dozens of times. Some of those decisions have no logical explanation except that its based on repeated outcomes. Yip. I lost good few thousand thinking that all clients are trustworthy. And don't give me the speech about the WGs who scam clients, I speak for myself and I don't rip off clients. I didn't repeat the same mistake just once, I repeated it dozens of times just to make sure it was a mistake.
