I can vouch for that statement...She had done just that when I relocated to Cpt.. she introduced me to a client that had been a regular of hers for many years.

I can also confirm this happens at venues. I've seen it in action both positively and negatively.

I frequent a venue and I've literally stood there and listened to my regular tell the other ladies stuff about me. Fortunately I behave myself and it is positive, but if you discuss me while I am around then I know you discuss people when they are not around.

So yes, a lot of them do talk.
