Can I be the voice of reason here and implore the mothers-to-be :

Think very carefully before conceiving.

Prevention is better than cure.

Being a parent myself, and simply looking at the ever escalating costs of bringing a child up in this world, think very carefully before opening your legs. Those promises made in the dark rarely if ever materialise. If you are already on here and battling to make ends meet, then a child in my opinion is not a good option.

Think very carefully.

Here endeth the lesson.

High five bro.....

If you aren't a single mother. Don't you dare open up these flood gates! No matter if you trying to do good. You have no concept or idea to what it takes to raise a child.

Arz

I have been very quiet on this forum for good reason. But if you want to open a can of worms.. OK

What I am proposing has nothing to do with making anyone a better wg Arz like you proposed! I'm talking about a chance at a normal life with a normal job, as you preached to me years ago and as I said, it won't only be for single mothers.

Miss Barbie, for example, wants to study fashion design and got accepted at a design school in France, but business has slowed down for all of us as can be seen by all the girls posts with regards to this lately. She's an avid poster and knows how to use the system as you proposed teaching ladies, yet she wont be able to fulfill her dream in quite some time between all the costs of living and having to save towards her dreams, which she is loyally committed to. Does she not deserve a better chance at obtaining her dreams?

I also suggested a support structure to help single moms to help each other (as I have limited experience and resources in these things according to the ladies that have approached me) with legal issues, transport to see their kids etc. That entails sharing of resources, info and avenues of help that one mother might have and the next might be oblivious to or unable to obtain on her own. That could involve lift clubs, names of attorneys for custody issues, help with clothing or childrens toys etc between them.

By all means Arz, open that can of worms, it won't stop me! No I'm not a single mother, but I was a child that watched her mother lose hope in life and deteriorate to nothing and she wasn't even a wg so don't you dare try and take some superior stance over my experiences in life! You forget I saw your pain too, i was not oblivious to it! No, I cannot conceive of what that means because I made the choice in life to not feel my mothers pain or yours as well as countless women I've encountered through my life in and out of this industry in a state of dispair, but do you not think it hurts those around you that love you to see you or their own mothers in that state? It hurts like hell and while my mother died with much left unsaid and left me in so much pain, this is an initiative on my part in the forgiveness of my own mother!

So go ahead, let your rage out on me! If that makes you feel better, I welcome it!

The only person stopping you from doing what you proposed in that post is you Arz. Your defeat is you succumb to others opinions and validation of you and you just withdraw! You aim your anger at me for this instead of aiming that energy at showing me that your ideas will work. And I dont mean receiving my validation, I mean showing me the middle finger and succeeding in what I said was impossible according to my jaded opinions!

Direct that anger in the right direction and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve! You know you are capable of amazing things, yet you allow others doubts to deter you! Come on Arz, you are better then that! So prove it to no one else but yourself!

Wow Arizona I am shocked.

I've always thought of you as the voice of reason on this site.
Not sure how you have interpreted Veronica's idea-intention.

I for one think it's a noble one and people on this site as I have said before are very clever and resourceful.

Maybe you should give this one some thought babe.

Think your anger -rage seems a little misplaced?

This is a bad idea primarily for one main reason, never ever make a single mother feel like she is not doing enough for her kids, while the idea might be well intentioned, I know for a fact that the last thing you offer a single mother who is doing for herself is charity. it is an insult of the highest order. You will see your arse if you approach this the wrong way. If they not asking leave it alone.

I agree Ramron. Also one has to be careful who you donate money to. Money is very tempting and has wrecked many a decent men. For eg I know of a good man that started a charity to collect money for the street children. He was a religious person as well. When the coffers spilled over into 10million suddenly he and the money went awol. Bottom line money can tempt even the most reputable and respected people.

VF, great initiative, but I also don't think this will end well given what you highlighted about how the ladies treat each other in this industry.

I'm not trying to knock it down, but proceed with caution especially if money will be changing hands.
