Wow truly one of the best posts I have ever read on ESA. Thanks to the original poster and to VF. The heading caught my eye 26! I also started punting at the age of 26! I'm now 46. Never been married no children for that matter. Punting to me is like a normal expense to someone else. Punting to me is like taking the family on a weekend away. You know normal things like schoolfees, doctors appointments, family braais etc. I have come to realize how much I missed out on! I have enough money. A stable income yet no one to spend it on! No one to see the enjoyment and of the little things in life. No one to come home to. No anniversaries no birthdays to share no schoolplays or company braais. Punting is a severely addictive pass time which leaves you a sinical lonely individual.

You can be in the company of many and still be lonely. Never let society dictate the path you need to take.

I started punting at 21 years of age - don't regret it one bit. And the reason for this is because I was into mature women.

At your age, I was working 16 hours per day on my PhD.
20 years later I managed to get a salary similar to yours, but not without working 12 hours per day.

The reason you burn the money in punting and waste so much time doing it, is because money and time have absolutely no value for you. And you will keep doing it until you start sweating and suffering to earn your money. Then I promise you, you will think twice before punting. And you won't be bored, because work will take most of your time. So you will learn to enjoy your little free time with the girlfriend that chose to be with you (if you compare her with a service provider who fucks you 60 minutes in exchange of money, then you an idiot).

I must say I found very laughable your story about quitting your job because someone said (in a democratic country with freedom of speech) something about your religion...

Your deep religious beliefs felt "offended", so you got in your expensive car, took your golden credit card, and went to fuck a couple of new chicks every day... What does your religion say about that kind of life??

Well... Guessing from the date he joined ESA, and his rental expiry, he came here with a 5 year contract... Maybe an attache to the embassy of some African country?...

Why is this of any relevance to the topic. The answer could possibly give away his anonymity.

What matters, or should matter is he is a young man drowning in his situation, not where does he get the means?

I agree with fanesa to some degree as 'idle hands are thedevils playground'. He says he travels and does charity work too. Instead of getting a job, it seems he has the time and means to start his own business. It's not always a case of being lazy or having the means to leave a job easily. Sometimes one is just not able to work for someone, but might excel at being his own boss instead!

Using time constructively is a very good distraction I do agree.

He never claimed to be perfect, in fact, we can attest to the fact that our clients include the perceived 'devout' religious leaders from various religions. Throwing that in his face is no better then being a judgemental religious Zealot.

If God indeed exists, he is said to work through unexpected people in the most unexpected places. So whether he reaches out to God or another human being, isn't it better that he acknowledges that he needs help regardless?

My intention was not to debate religion, but to make evident his lack of coherence, and to show that ANY excuse would be a good reason to come back to his easy lazy life.

Why invest my effort and time in a meaningful relationships, if I can buy cheap pussy?
Why suffer and struggle at work, if I get money for free?

He will never stop punting unless he finds a meaningful way of spending his time (so far, he is watching movies) and learns to appreciate the value of money and time.
