One thing we can all agree on, the one universal language is money. No matter where you are in the world, Flash some bucks; panties drop. No misunderstandings.
There is a tiny island in the North Atlantic, called Great Britain, less than 1 percent of the world's population which has exported its culture and language to virtually every country on earth.
English is now the lingua franca of international commerce and diplomacy.
Therefore the ability to write (and speak) correct English is a very necessary one to possess, but a very difficult one to acquire.
There is a culture of mediocrity which has crept into South Africa.
We make a hundred excuses why we cannot raise ourselves above the common herd.
Let each of us be proud of our individual heritage and culture, and yet acknowledge the beauty and universal appeal of the English language.

Admittedly, I'm guilty of this and in the same token, have been called out on it too! I'm not perfect, done many walks of shame tainted with ego! Who fucking knows why! Let me know why when you figure it out!
