Go the legal route.

The guy is a PI, which means he'll likely have police experience and law enforcement and legal contacts. Getting people to assault him will most likely cost you much more than R9k and possibly your freedom. Debt collector will also take % of the R9k collected

Hi I know some of the 7 Arrows Managers and I will ask around for you. The guys I know who work there are honest and I'm sure they will assist. They have worked hard to establish their reputation and they won't stand for this

Hi Mynx, 7 Arrows are a medium sized company I am familiar with as they manage the suburb armed response where I live. They will certainly not want bad publicity so even Facebook posts will help you.

You have the choice of fraud or theft charges, but my experience is that the police are more likely to move quickly on theft - suggest going that route as you are unlikely to end up taking this to trial anyway.

Finally, the governing body is a 3rd arrow you must shoot too. All the best!

Legally speaking , I dont think you can pursue this as theft ... you handed over the money willingly . It was not taken away forcefully .
You can pursue fraud or breach of contract
If it is a reputable organisation you might succeed . But sometimes the agro of chasing these sort of claims might not be worth it in the end .. With time and money spent on chasing to recover

I once jammed a guys hand in my car window and dragged him till he was breathless then broke his legs.

You, sir, sound like a thug and I hope you and your violent, uncouth ways stay as far away from Mynx as possible.
