We are in total agreement re the cost factor involved, my view is just that if the wallet is empty, the barrier created by that will be so serious that it is more like a bottlenect situation. You have to pass the bottleneck in order to move along.
And I am not saying that there cannot be a connection ONCE the situation has moved past the initial costing problems.
And far be it for me to disagree with you that there must be some ogling involved in looking at the pics, reviews, correspondence, so that a mirage is built up in your mind as to a supposedly happy conclusion.
The initial contact, and the anticipation of a response, the first call, the judging of a person by their nuances and jocularity and the like. The deeper contact would then start from there.
The final decision to book, the shower and the dressing up to create a good impression, the aftershave to combat the mild sweating as the adrenaline starts pumping, as you slip away from work on some trumped up excuse, your phone switched off, you are eagerley looking forward to your tryst.
All of these are conducive to creating a connection, for in your little fantasy world, you will be king for an hour or more. Living out the fantasy that you created, and connecting on a level that you are not use to in real life.
You mention that I recently had the pleaure of a sensual and sexual connect with a beautiful woman??
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the definition of beauty is as wide as the expanse of the sea.
Back to me :
Meat is meat and a man must eat. We are hunters. We hunt, we devour, and we leave. Connections, for lack of a better word, are overrated, and played out to retain a customer base.
So, you look at a piece of meat, might be tasty, then move along. Leave the connections to those not living in my sterile world.
