I dislike profoundly the opinion you have of yourself based on the measurements of beauty dished out by society programmed into the mind of average people about how a bunch of skin covering a bone structure and muscles should be arrange to look appealing?
How can you be ugly?
Who decides that?
How an intelligent man like you bought into this concept of beauty and nonetheless why do you so willingly accepted something when it came from an external source that judge munificence just based in a cellular and molecular arrangements of the body?

Yes, you are your atoms, and you are also your cells, you are your intelligent arrangement of highly organised matter called body but you are also your macroscopic psychology, your soul and your consciousness ..
You are then a collection movements of body, of ideas, of thoughts, actions and choices and you are even your actual habits....all in one tight inseparable self!
Like the mirrors you hate all those parts are no more than the reflection of one another.

I wrote somewhere that today we live in an ocean with enormous waves of status obsession, materialism, vanity, ego and consumerism.
The very fabric of our society radiate cheap romanticism, connects to vain competition, conspicuous consumption and neurotic addictions often related to physical beauty, status and superficial wealth.

Peter I hate that you have bought into a superficial concept of beauty long ago, now re-affirmed to you by that one woman you fall in love with.
You also fall in blindness and accepted in pain others view of you..
That view of you permeates your writings.
