If you leave your main phone somewhere to avoid be traced by location (like Find My iPhone), then you better be able to justify that you were at that location at that time.

As well, call diverts showup as phone calls on any system including billing systems. It shows the number that the call was diverted to.

Bottom line. Switch your phone off and remove the battery if you do not want to be found.

But guys: if you have an android phone you can set the phone to reset to factory default when the wrong pin is entered 15 or so times (lock screen pin)

CDR tracking will show both numbers in the record!

For an iPhone, just swicth off location services or disconnect from internet all together. Tracking will only show last known location until you reconnect at a new location.

This is why picking SPs on routes that you tend use regularly (close to car service centre, gym, spa, mall, work, clients, etc) helps. You will not have to explain anything if your location oddly falls within those locations. a missed call can mean having gone into an unplanned meeting or dash to an odd unscheduled visit to get something squeking checked on the car. Anything kms away in the opposite directions to home, office etc you simply commission the truth-search party!
