Hello Durban Boys. Other highly rated ladies, as well as myself, have been using this venue for quite some time. What I have to say is this:
1. It's funny how mass histeria causes people's brains to stop working.
2. It's funny how quickly the vulture in people soars to the surface with the merest hint of a decaying carcass being swayed.
3. The venue is a guesthouse that has opened it's doors to welcome wg's so that we have a safe and welcome place to work from. I have personally been chucked out of hotels, left stranded in a strange city with my bags on the pavement and no means to earn the money to get back home. To actually HAVE a safe working place, is priceless.
4. All decent travelling wg's KNOW to pack extra towels as...HELLO!! Low and Behold! NEWSFLASH: EVERY hotel or guesthouse only EVER supply two towels per day. If you have EVER, WORLDWIDE travelled to a standard-priced hotel accommodation and gotten more towels, and you can prove it, I will publicly apologise.(handtowels do not count). However, mob-mentality makes people forget these things.
5.As mentioned above, I have personally used this venue numerous times and from personal experience can say that I have NEVER experienced any of the allegations first hand. As a matter of fact, the first time I was checked in, the owner had a lovely heart-to-heart with me, regarding not abusing her hospitality, as she will refuse me re-entry, should I be caught either WITH illegal substances or ON them. She would also not tolerate loud or drunken behaviour. And I was to remain discreet, quiet and as much out of sight as possible, as a token of respect to other guests oblivious to my work. I assured her that I did not fall in a class of either drunk or drugged-out wg.
6. Did anybody bother to do a search on the previous posts of the accuser? Interesting threads come up, when one does proper investigation, rather than jumping to conclusions. Except, o yes, humans prefer to tear others to pieces and join in the bloodfest, without so much as a backward glance. How many times, when threads are posted with horrid accusations in them, is it proven over and over, that ulterior motives might be at play.
7. And-all of you that went "o god, i've BEEN there" - all of you: did you experience the place as horrid and evil? (I'm talking about the venue, not if a wg gave shitty service)
And if you did: WHY did you not start a thread warning others about this horrid place??? OR- Is it POSSIBLE that the place was decent, clean and you felt safe? Can you recall the nice you experienced there perhaps?

If people could only rub two braincells together and THINK in stead of converting to mob-mentality, this world would be a really great place.

So, Veronica Franco and myself, will still be using this venue next week, and no amount of attempted sabotaging will derail us.
