Sitting in my home study with a good whisky on the rocks next to me I was disturbed to read through this post. (So if I do write nonsense then it is the whisky talking)

It always saddens me when realizing that some people receive a curved ball which uproots their lives. I am sure that this is a temporary situation and that you will be able to master this setback with pride.
It is true that I have carefully planned, booked and paid for my stay in JHB in response to your so generous offer. It was an offer I just could not let go. However please be assured that I do understand your situation and wish you all the best in mastering the storm and find calm water soon.

I will follow your posts and maybe I will stand at your door soon, not to take you up on your offer but to get to know you in person. I am sure it will be worth all the effort :-)

Durban Guy is correct. We adhere to an old Dutch principle, namely : HUUR GAAT VOORT KOOP. That means that your lease contract has preference over any subsequent sale, and that the new owners cannot change one thing in that lease contract. They bought the building with the lease allready in place. As such, a letter from a lawyer informing your new owners will suffice. This is fairly simple.

If they can PROVE that you are doing something illegal, which I very much doubt, then the above mentioned rule will fall by the wayside. It is in my humble opinion not easy to prove, and your two clients per day would not constitute operating a prostitution business, and they would need proof as well, which I am sure they will never get.

All this is just to buy you some time, as they will actively find grounds to remove you.

Fanesa picked up your cry for help, which is at the moment MONEY. Whichever way you go, you need some financial assistance.

I want to put it to the recipients of the free bookings that you offered some time ago for the "bad" service that a punter received, and from what I coulkd gather, a few took you up on, to put your hands in your pockets now and help Miss V. For is it not better to give than to receive ? Too busy to go look up the relevent punters, but you will know who you are .

Also her bevy of satisfied punters, words are nice and nice thoughts very noble.

I have not had the previledge to meet you, but I do feel that through your pen, or rather your keyboard, we as ESA forum members have been allowed to see the world through the eyes of mrs. Valentina Dibella. And boy, what a fresh and energetic view that is!

First of all, like a million other people, I would like to welcome you into my humble abode, should that be neccesary. Secondly, I secretly pray that the new owners of said hotel develop a severe case of the flu, only to find out the world is all sold out on tissues and cactii leaves are now used for said duties. Thirdly, I see our dearly beloved No. 1 vacate his current accomodation and allow a loyal lady like yourself to use that favilities.

I do not think any of the above will actually become a reality, therefore I can only do what everybode else has already done before me. I hope all of your affairs pan out, all your dreams come true and all your business ventures boom beyond expectation.

I'm very sorry to hear what you have to go through and condemn the treatment that you as a lady received from the new owners. By putting so much effort and money into your place just to be informed you have a few days to vacate is utterly unfair to a great lady that you are. I really hope that you will find a new place and continue your ambitions and what you want to achieve.

Saddened to read of your situation, Valentina.
To be treated this way is incomprehensible and shows the hypocrisy of those fat cats who have no qualms about putting you and others out onto the street, so to speak.
Treating you like a criminal for providing the type of service that you do must be so hurtful to you and other ladies in this industry, who are not just trying to make a living but doing it in a dignified, classy fashion.
One has to wonder how they found out about this classy yet 'dangerous criminal' in their midst, who has furnished, decorated and enhanced the apartment at great cost ?
They have found their "out" and used it to try evict you. One wonders how many honest, decent, hard-working people these fat-cat landlords have unceremoniously dumped ?
Not sure they can in 2 days, in terms of our law !

Before any of you direct and mobilise any of your energy, force and good will to generate a source of help for me that is not needed or yet simply better put is that the way I operate and conduct this business or any other business I've run before have BASIC SIMPLE SELF-MADE RULES that I DO NOT break under any circumstances:
I DONOT enter ever in any liaisons or deals with customers (not even with those that have become friends) that involves borrowing, advancing money in any manner nor I accept charity or monetary help of any sort.....
EVEN MUCH LESS when it is for fixing and correcting the ups and downs that every business goes through and that such business owner is solely responsible for, as to plan, cover and accommodate for such down times and sudden changes in the market.
MAINLY in an industry like this one where the legality part of it allow less for stability, fair chances to defend your business and litigate. What happened to me is part of the perks of my business and it happens to many girls ever so often. I am not a novice here so I should know well.
Only once I accepted an EFT from a client before service given and even when all went well is not a practice I follow!

I'm horrified at the way you were treated by your landlord. Shame on him. How many neighbours did you actually inconvenience? I'm sure that the other residents were heard a lot more frequently than you and were considerably louder, if at all you were audible. I'm sure that were even more silent than a mouse.

Also, how much lower in value was the rent you paid and how much less reliable a tenant were you really?

Your landlord's treatment of you has really angered me.

At the same time, I must, once again, pay a huge tribute to you for the very conciliatory stance you've taken, despite the fate that has befallen you. You've, once again, displayed the amazing character you have.
