Your mention of a ginger landing strip reminded me of a tale i wrote many moons ago shared by a regular of mine and thus to post it under " off the beaten track"

I always have a landing strip
Went for many many laser sessions back in 2014, with the intent of removing everything and leaving a landing strip.
However, it didn't take as well as we were expecting...
Definitely less hair when in "full bush" mode, but for some reason the panty line areas didn't respond nearly as well to the laser...
I'm not mad about it either. It is fun to have options to play with!
I trim, wax or leave the rest to grow depending on my mood...

All the aeronautical references had me laughing........made me realise that I'm a fairly decent pilot.......
because with a night-time, zero visibility approach I've landed with instruments-only and zero guidance from airtraffic control.
