Most of the time it's what I do but in a case where I get only 15 minutes notice I can't say he's already here let me just carry on. I still have to freshen my breath after a quick shower, and I choose to shower first and everything else I can do after he arrives.

Sometimes even an hour, so it's more like 2 hours for the price of one.

As much as we appreciate that they enjoy our company, it can be really inconvenient. We are here to earn income just like they have salaries.

If I start my day at 2pm and I have 1 hour appointment and the next one is at 4pm, and at 3:30pm my 4pm appointment calls to inform me that they are leaving the office but my phone is on silent .....

I don't lose income but the person calling thinks I'm unprofessional and inconsiderate. How I wish people can understand this, I can't chase someone but it will be nice if they are considerate of my time.

This is a very good question.
I've been searching for an answer to this for about 20 yrs but I don't think anyone will find out the real answer.
It's kind like wondering where the missing sock goes when it's been in the washing machine.
Only the socks know the answer to this.
(There was once an amusing advert which showed where the missing socks all go to, some place near the north pole, I think.)

I always thought it was to hand the money to the Nigerian strongman in the other room; you know, the one you're worried will rob you if you arrive with too much cash or valuables on you :).

You'd be surprised how many girls do a line of suspicious white powder. A well known Pta WG once disappeared into the bathroom for way too long much to my irritation. I confronted her and she confessed to smoking crack to help her cope. I was shocked becoz she is a real pretty gal but she mentioned she started using drugs since someone close to her died and she could not cope with the loss.

More often it's simply to go put the money away. Never know if you a skelm punter.
