The clip was sensationalistic and driving a US agenda ...

5G is just new tech for carrying data. Like fibre, LTE, 3G or ADSL, it's about how bits are encrypted and transmitted and the infrastructure used to transmit. The guy in the video wasn't making any sense. They could put up camera's or do all the things he's talking about using numerous methods, you don't need 5G. 5G isn't services, it's just a data pipe. If you are worried about your data in transit, use a VPN or something and encrypt your data moving across what ever technology you want to use. It's the reason sites use things like HTTPS which is really just SSL encryption. The real risk is china started to control all the pipes, which is why there was the major push back from the US.

You encrypt the data on your phone, laptop or ipad to protect people from accessing your data if they steal your device. Once again, nothing to do with china stealing your data. Always a good idea to encrypt everything.

China does not care about you as an individual (non Chinese) , they care about corporate espionage, that is their main focus, they steal ideas and use them, and obviously spying on other governments. The great firewall of china is used to restrict their own people from accessing information not sanctioned by their government, so you can't read about things like tiananmen square to use an example of a banned search or topic.

The main risks from a government perspective is suppressing information and penalizing you for not keeping in line with their rules. Once again if you want to know how that would work look at the social credit system in china. Based on how good a citizen they deem you to be based on shows you watch, news you read or how you behave, they decide what you can have access to. If you have a low score you can't use public transport, or leave the country, or even own a house or rent in certain areas.

Things like the vaccine pass would make me worry, because that is the first step towards allowing you access to certain things based on criteria set by the government. Don't worry about 5G, worry about laws that are passed in terms of what data government can access, if they force you to install apps, if they start imposing laws based on said apps, if they start restricting information you can access etc.

South africa does not have the technology nor the skills at the moment to spy on it's people, unless they outsource. The hacking team was a great example of a group selling services to african countries to target specific individuals to suppress information. Currently the south african government is getting hit left right and center by ransomware, which doesn't speak well to technical capability.

Other instances of spying would be the NSA tools that were leaked e.g. eternalblue or the hacking team leaks. Tools that allowed government to access or control information.

None of the above is conspiracy, it's all really easy to verify.

All governments are machiavellian in their approach, power for the sake of power. Their main focus is to stay in power, power always corrupts, so your should always question everything done by those in power.

I like conspiracy theories, but if you cry wolf too often without fact checking people start disregarding real problems when they are flagged, something to think about ....

But they are spying on us, why do they have those high tech bridges on the highways with the cameras? If they take a pic of someone with their skelem in the passenger seat, they can use it to blackmail you.

I searched tiananmen square and there was so much info about it. Even Annunaki returns some pretty interesting reads.

Having to be able to track who is vaccinated and who isn't is a good thing. We could even add in AI to predict who or which areas would be at risk and be able to provide cures in time

You make sense to me. Which is not good. I'm not smart. So either you're smart and you can speak dumb dumb or you're like me. Either way thanks for the post. Appreciate it.

Read my message again. My issue is with you focusing on 5G. Hacking team was an example of actual spying. Eternalblue was an instance of tools the NSA has to access your computer. Also those were their old tools. Read, comprehend, respond. :)

Sure that is a one example of what they could potentially do, a mild one, but yeah, discrediting people is an option.

You can search tiananmen square here, you aren't in China ....

I just grabbed the first link that came back off a search.

i can't see my posts, and they take a while to get approved, hoping the syntax and multi-quoting works the same as other forums, so hopefully this displays correctly.

Ironically if you look how little people fact check and how poorly informed people are (not directed at anyone i'm responding to) huxley won, not orwell ....

I am loving these posts. Especially love the Huxley vs Orwell comparison.

Agreed. (Somebody probably needs to explain to wild_one who Orwell and Huxley are, since he keeps referring to the movie)

I'm not smart, but either way it's better to assume you aren't, then you are open to learn. I've also learnt the ones that think they are smart, usually aren't. Glad you liked the post.

You should focus more on the content of your replies than on insults. Thought it was funny that you referenced the movie and not the book, but i guess that explains why you don't read the replies in detail.
