I would also add that the "Golden Years of Punting" for many may be linked to a time when disposable income was greater.

Had the SA economy not collapsed to the extent that it has (especially in $ terms) The average punter would be able to pay the required fee of the average lady he wishes to visit.

The match up between what the girls need to live on (not exist on) and what the punter can afford to pay for this luxury would be more aligned.

Hence everybody, from Punters to the ladies would be smiling again.

To me the "golden age" is whenever I find a SP or even better several SPs that meet my needs.
Ladies who deliver fantastic service, at a rate that is commensurate with the service and are open to new experiences (for me or for them or both).
Of course disposable income and availability of time play a huge factor.
There are ebbs and flows as regulars leave the industry, great regulars start to get stale, my tastes and desires change.
I have had several "golden ages" over the years and am currently experiencing one again thanks to a few amazing women!

The Golden Years for me would be similar to many of the older punter's stories..

Escort Agents in the cities which were safe and line-ups were exceptional...then came the 90's to 2000 Star Newspaper and Local newspaper classifieds, no profiles but just a short description of the Service Provider with a landline, you would call the Service Provider (No WhatsApp or Texts) enquire about rates and location, all services were inclusive (no paying for extras) BJ was inclusive of FH (covered or OWO) Massage Girls were almost non-existent. You would get the address before hand and had to figure out the location on an actual map in a map book.

Then came the ESA days, the forum was exciting and we had Hot Sex Sally (ESA employee/admin) that used to post some raunchy stories..

ESA offered a platform nothing like any other site, forum, detailed profiles with a review section.

Girls looked like their profile pics, rates were way under R1000, remember paying a WG R700 once at that was perceived as the most expensive punt back then...generally R450 to R500 was the going rate.

Both the Punting and Service Provider Community was small but everyone respected each other and services was top notch.

Where to start? Mid to late 80's Hillbrow streetwalker scenehit and miss, some good, some lousy, often nice from from far but far from nice. Not exactly golden age. Had a a nasty experience once and thankfully discovered the various clubs and hotels around the area soon after that. The 90's and early 2000's were probably the best in that regard. Anything went with some of the stripshows there. Plus it was affordable. Probably the golden age of venues in town.
As those venues declined and most of them closed down, ESA came on the scene, and even though I didn't visit than many ladies due to budget starting to bite and less opportunities for a session, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I can't speak for more recently as I'm no longer in SA.
