Still spurting money like the Trevi Fountain for the wife’s knee (a long story)
Domestic broke a toe over the festive period causing more hospital bills (I never really appreciated how expensive and debilitating toes can be. Knees I know about but toes!)
Had to demolish and built a new garage due to subsidence
Work is a nightmare at this time of year so not much money flowing in to Le Roux Holdings
Despite having a borehole our water charges encourage the belief that it is actually filled from our taps.
In laws before Christmas now my parents are on their way.
How can dogs eat so much? I may have to switch to fillet as a cheaper option. (and don’t talk about vets fees, I seem to be paying a knee every few months!)
Can I get anyone, ANYONE to switch things off when not in use?
And what in the name of [insert relevant deity] is the story with our debit orders? Woolies, cards, insurance, security, rates, post boxes (yes multiple! Why? I have no idea) Phone bills, PHONE BILLS, I didn't realise that there were that many hours in a month. And so it goes on ad infinitum ad nausium.
Punting? HA! Not this month. Not unless someone takes a card on budget or offers easy payment terms.
I’ll get to dealing with a weakening Rand and the recession when I can but for now I’m off for a bowl of Maggi noodles and may even treat myself to a glass of water.
