@Gundie If you keep your wits about you, you merely comment when told the woman is a prostitute, "Really? She just asked me for a lift to go and buy cigarettes!"
Of course, the problem is you are already in trouble with the alcohol, so they could make life miserable for you irregardless, especially on a Friday in terms of spending the weekend as a guest of the State...
Greetings squire
I did actually tell the cops what you said, I did try and tell them I was just giving her a lift up to the shops, but they didn't buy that story.
As far as the alcohol goes, I hadn't been drinking at all, so they couldn't have got me there.. I think the only reason I was caught out in this scam was the gun being waved in my face by the burly gorilla in a police uniform Who stepped out of the van when he could see I was hesitant to part with my cash ... But on a positive note, I actually caught up with a girl the other night in Morningside, but not a street walker .. She confirmed to me she knows this street girl who scammed me.. She also says she knows those cops are running tricks in the Morningside area at night, they're in league with the street girls and exhort huge amounts from some unlucky guys.. They caught one guy for R2k the other night apparently. Cash bribe paid.. They threatened to follow that guy back to his house and threaten his family if he didn't pay them.. Wtf?
Yeah.. our wonderfully corrupt law and order system in this place we call home..
Peace
