So true. I dont how taking
selfies is an issue when on a really nice island get away. Who knows when she'll get an opportunity to go there again, if ever. Besides she would have told friends and family she was going..... and if they're anything like my family they would wanna see pics.

Very true! My first trip to Ireland I took my last day in Cork to walk Round and take pics of random things...i was there alone, so no selfies...was even harder back then as camera phones were not that great! I convinced a guy I met in Cork that day to become a photographer though...he took a few pics on a cheap disposable camera and I noticed he had a good eye for composition! After that, all my trips back there were photographed by him, lol. I will gladly pose if it has a purpose!

I do enjoy taking a photo if it is a special memory or I am with family.

I also prefer someone to take a photo of me.

I have been to Mauritius and I took more photos of the surroundings and the interesting places we visited than myself.

I think so Veronica. I do not know how to do a selfie. Lol! I have tried in the past, they just do not work. I do like being behind the camera though. You, will never have that special moment again.

Minime gifted me a selfie stick...maybe we'll use it when we go to the theatre! That is an occasion worth personally documenting for our own benefit! My friends use it more then I do, lol. Poor guy probably gave it to me for a reason, lmao.

I am from a different "generation" or planet. Lol!

I could not take a selfie if my life depended on it!

I think this social media has placed unessesary pressure on people. Always trying to prove something. Just be yourself, you have nothing to prove to anyone. I think it's stupid if you ask me. I have whatsapp and Nothing more. Refuse to get sucked into it.

It's all about showing people that their lives are better then what they really are! It's sad that people need this validation from the rest of the world and it's all fake bullshit! Selling a fake version of themselves to the world! Some people obsess about these personas to such a degree that they have no idea how to engage real people in the real world anymore! I miss the days of real cameras with film and landlines! Reality these days is nothing more then a photo on FB or Instagram! People no longer live life...they fake it!
