I have a concern and if I may share it, then it is the fact that so many of the wg's are people who really have very kind and soft hearts. They are normally the ones who offer excellent services and who are appreciated very much by the punters. It seems according to the line of messages above that Russian Bridgitte is also one of them. Here is my concern: Being kind hearted, and soft you allow rude, inconsiderate selfish junk to just walk over you. This is wrong my dear!! It is wrong that you don't take a stance and by that I mean a STRONG stance for your own protection and for yourself.

Some of the gentleman has give wonderful advise, and I will never forget, in her book: The Happy Hooker, by Xaviera Hollander, she indicated that in this kind of profession you will ALWAYS need a very good lawyer. Someone who will make up for your soft and kindness. Someone who will fight these bullies and put them in their rightful place where they really belong. It seems you are a very independent self caring human being, who don't really want to look into someone else's eyes for help. Then a good lawyer is your answer.

If you were my girlfriend then I would have taken a very strong stance in taking the advice given by PeterBucks and challenge these bastards, before I leave. So, all these people got to know me as Restaurant-pub owner, or mother of two girls, or wife, painter, the daughter of '****' ...you name it, anything but an escort.

To begin with:
There is a great difference between how the law rule and regulate the accommodation, occupancy and the end of such occupancy in a HOTEL and how it does regulate any other type of RESIDECIAL PROPERTY.
Every Tom knows that you don't need your latest 3 months bank statements, black listing ITC checks, proof of employment or residence or any other form of proof of affordability in order to reserve, book and check-in a HOTEL...
no matter how long you intend to live there.

A passport or I.D and your cash will suffice.

Almost every Tom knows as well that you can not work from home, conduct or run any type of business from any RESIDENTIAL property (which include hotel's apartments and rooms too) without a specific permission or else you are oblige to rent a commercial property for it.
Even if what you do it is just baking cookies at home and profit by selling them to a school tuck shop.

Then loud and clear is the fact the whole world knows that you can't conduct or practice any ILLEGAL business anywhere.

Escorting business in SA is illegal with BIG LETTERS.

And to top it all up I SHOW MY FACE rampantly on the MOST VISITED ESCORT SITE in the Southern hemisphere of this continent and in which one I appear in the front page all the time because TOP 10!!!!

I knew quite well all of the above and still I proceed to arrange an apartment in that hotel.

There was no verbal or written signed agreement of any sort stating my intend to work from such property as a
*"medical and dentistry hypnotherapist, neuro-languistic-programmer and brain-wave entraitment".*
Never mind a hint that I will be using all of that 'nice sounded titles' to disguise the real business of "ESCORTING" that I was about to conduct-
I say 'escorting' to make it sound appealing because to them it would have been simply as it is:
"Madam Valentina, are you about to practice PROSTITUTION here?".

I am of the opinion that even though when they did not show even the slightest indication of knowing I was an escort, there is a great possibility that they have found out one way or another and that their jobs depended on:

'NOT turning the blind eye to it'.

In that case, like PeterBuck said even when they can't prove it now, eventually they would....
to let things get that far would have been quite sad and embarrassing for everyone because all the staff of that hotel from owner to house keeping have been nothing short of fantastic to me.
They did really went few extra miles to please me ...they kept me in the loop of all the changes they were doing in the hotel and in many occasions asked for my guidance and advice to improve and make it even better, all my suggestions were implemented... at times I felt revered by them which made me a bit uncomfortable..!

But all that changed dramatically 2 days before I was issued with the eviction note.
The energy changed...
I wouldn't say rude by any means but I was given a cold shoulder, the tension was beyond obvious and no one seem to look strait in my eyes.

NO doubt that letter was an eviction notice for me to leave WITHIN the next 40 hours and there was NO INTENTION of paying me the around 20 000 rand for deposit and the remain of the month rental.
At my claim for it, the response given: "LET's SEE WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT" was a clear indication that they were expecting that I forfeit such money on account of "MY OFFENSE or ERROR" without they having to tell me strait..!
So it was basically more a "thrown out" of the place than anything else.

It was difficult but I managed to arrange storage for some of the business furniture as other I gave away to family, a moving company and I left within the 48 hours required by them.
Yesterday on my visit to the hotel I was received with a more relaxed and warm smile.
They did agree to give me in full my deposit and the remain of the month rental before I even ask.
I am very happy that I didn't have to enter into any type of discussion or talks.

It is just my inability to deal with things from the stand point where I lose all my rights because my current job is illegal.
It kills me.

It will come to be an average legislated contract between employer and employees as it is with any other business.
Good Health will increase as can be regulate and regularly check to be up to standards as it is with the escort's place of work that will have to comply with the minimum environmental standards and hygiene .
The words pimps, madams and prostitutes will become outdated and what it represent in itself will have not much space in our society.
Escorts today, whether independent or working at venues, strike way far from what it was in the past century...
Escorts today have families and children. They go home, cook diner, walk their dogs and do home work with their children. The modern escort has options!
But when decriminalised that options triplicates and a sense of freedom and a more dignified way in all endeavours follow.!
Although decriminalisation will not mean the end of the stigmatising tag attached to the sex industry but it will up-grade and better the lives of all those in it.
The staggering difference of how the industry behave in some places where escorting is legal is incredible! We have escorts that are lawyers...we have many things that are difficult to grasp from where we are standing now!

Dear ESA.

I am looking for one or two bedrooms apartment or hotel apartment to work from, INDEPENDENTLY and by MYSELF in Sandton morningside.
At this stage preferably furnished.

The type of apartment I find suitable for me and the way I set my encounters is similar to those at the 20 West Hotel or the Capital Hydropark in Grayston drive.

At the moment I CAN NOT have another residential property nor commercial or business on my name, whether is to rent or buy.
Hence daily or month by month rent is my only choice for now.

The monthly rental of those type of self-catering apartments I am referring to, go for about 13,000 - 15,000 rand monthly, all which is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for me but they are tied up to a long lease of 6 months to 1 year with the whole usual credit check, proof of employment etc.

But renting it on daily bases I will be paying R33,000 having to make the payments weekly.

THIS IS SUICIDE FOR ME!

A DECISION MADE:

I know a precedent was set the 31 of August 2013 when I posted that I would be taking off from work for ONLY 2 or 3 months as I was to be attending few personal matters and trying to save my pubs- restaurants from
Bankruptcy but It was only almost 2 years later that I managed to come back.

So, posting my decision NOW might cause some despondent feelings and cause some nerves as "what if..happens again"

I have decided that I will not work until mid of January next year.

Simply, as the only option at the moment, I was about to commit by next thursday to a R33, 000 rental for a penthouse apartment.
But I CANNOT.
NOT in December that is the most SLOW month of the year.

To run this business the way I do as an independent escort that does NOT work from HOME but have a SEPARATE work place cost me on the top of whatever rental I pay for such work place another 17,000 rand monthly.
This goes from cost of advertisement, internet and phone, some online marketing, cleaning stuff and hygiene products, laundry, medical exams, condoms and all other toiletries to the little mints and "the infamous but necessary by now hair-gel' lol, ...lingerie for work and for photo-shoots, work petrol, business food, that cappuccino and all other drinks to the very last stationary paper clip and pencil.

That will be a total cost-
50,000 rand

I did considered strait away to knock down the cost by operating for a while in a sort of similar mode I did 2 years ago by taking away the fancy alcoholic drinks, beverages and gourmet food I serve to customers which cost me 7000 rand out of that 17k and which was a luxury feature I added to my sessions on my return while I did keep my fees exactly the same as they were 2 years ago.......!!
but a business cost of 43 000 rand still is a non sense and it is a business suicide.

I can not guarantee that in December I will be able to make even 10 rand over that to pay at least for panados for the headaches which I for sure will have plenty of!

There is a possibility that I will still have to pay that 33000 rand in january if I don't find other work place but at least I have a better advantage point when it comes to amount of clients and market movement.

MY ADVERTISEMENT EXPIRES tomorrow the 14th and I will not renew it for a while, 20 days or so.

Having my AD down does not permit for me to communicate or interact with you through the forums of ESA but we will reconnect again when I renew my whole advertisement ( which I will even when I will be not working) in order to be able to at least give you updates of my return.
In the past, for a long while after I stopped working I could communicate with you all through a basic-member account but that's no longer allowed to avoid free advertisement.
