I remember an older blonde lady that Mike mentioned and a tall brunette, Chantel she called herself I think. Met her again at on the 50th floor of Ponte Building. The best view for a punt anywhere. If I remember that place you were let in on the 50th floor and out again on the 51st

Indeed, years back punting was rather a night out experience where the actual punt (or more than one) was just part of the entertainment package. I remember the nights spend at clubs or venue bars socializing with the girls, having way too much to drink and often staying up till way after 00h00. The punters seemed to form a circle of friends for that night and the girls were collectively well cared after.
Those were the days ..... now the times of wham bang thank you madam and out of door as soon as possible experiences are the order of the day.

My early days of punting was hillbrow I'd walk the streets to pick up ladies as the ladies hanged out on oriely road next to the park.

Down the steep hill two hot spots was the excitement points namely royal park and the one around the corner from royal park.

Then there was summit club loved that place dearly

Exclusive Books in Hillbrow was my favourite haunt. There was a bakery further down the road which baked the most delicious fragrant bread. There were several antique shops. It was always a treat for me to spend a Saturday morning in Hillbrow and Joubert park.
Then head back to Lenz in the late afternoon or evening.

And then things changed...

Edit: now I remember:
That bakery was called La Baguette.

Hard to equate Hillbrow with the more cerebral aspects of life these days. Estoril books was another great place. So was Hillbrow Records, WOM (World of Music), the underground flea market, the Mini Cine with it's fucked up seats and offbeat movies. Then there was Club 147, a snooker hall in a basement. Great place that was.

Once when browsing in Exclusive books in Hillbrow, in walks a really stunning blonde with the most exquisite feet.

I was so aroused it was really a cruelty just looking at her feet.
Now understand that she is not a wg!
I hesitantly told her that I like her feet and would she mind if I fondled them.
She just laughed at me , contrary to what I expected. She stepped out of the bookshop and giggled with her lady friend, no doubt thinking I'm a weirdo which I probably am.

And then there was that upstairs dump which had a turn table for peep shows as well as a wall with glory holes. Never made use of the glory holes (too afraid a guy would be behind the wall) but it was such fun to watch guys making use of it. Wonder if anybody remembers that place?

Yeah, I remember the 50th floor of Ponte building.
Had some great times there, I think it was the late 1980s or early 1990s.
Met a great tall blonde lady there, saw her often, we became good friends.

Estoril Books stocked a little book called Cloud 9 and there were a couple of others - all contained adverts of potential "skelmpies" Found a number of horny housewives in those pages. Never found the books anywhere else.
