Good afternoon most dear Durban.
Sunday morning responsibilities, duties and spiritual fulfillment done and now begins my afternoon.
TODAY
and
TOMORROW Monday left...before I depart for CT.
What a stay it has been! Unexpectedly rich not simply because of monetary gains but, the companionship from various parts of SA and even from over the seas , fed that part of my constant desire to know and hear and learn from others who have an innate wisdom about life and all things societal has been fed to the brim.
And then today....out of the blue, a little boy, about 3 years old walked up to me and asked me to hug him.
I looked up at his mum and dad and his mum nodded a yes , seeing my uncertainty if I may.
That kiddie winkle knew something I didn't know. His hug was bigger, warmer, all encompassing than a giants would have been
The energy was something out of this world and I lost myself in this little human being.
He held me, what seemed , for an eternity, and I reciprocated.
Eventually , he let go , smiled at me and continued to walk.
His mum said, "Thank you. "
I said nothing, just smiled and stared at the little human being feeling something I cannot explain.
And then walking to my motor vehicle, still lost in that moment, two little kids came upto me selling goodies to make a bit of money.
I give money when I soul feels it right and, in this case I wanted to.
No goodies wanted in return.
"Give the auntie a handband." Said the boy to the girl...and she extended her hands with an array of different colour bands.
" I would like you to choose one for me pls."
The boy looked at me, LOOKED AT ME, looked at the bands and gave me the only purple one in the little girl's hands.
I smiled
"Thank you. I love it . My favourite colour "
They smiled.
Quoted- "Purple, the color forpenitence and mourning, is the traditional color for the seasons of Advent and Lent. Purple is also the color of royalty, demonstrating the anticipation and reception of the coming "king" (Jesus Christ) celebrated during Advent."
...and purple is the colour of esa.
How antithetical.
It has been an awesome visit.
And so to make the most of the time left in Durban and knowing I shall continue being spoilt in so many different ways...antithetical....and I embrace them exactly as they are.
Loving my Durban....my sort of Durban and looking fwd to YOU and you and YOU, before my departure.
