My opinion., gils that gives bad service and also girls that does not get reviewed on a regular basis will loose most of their income. Punters is going to be more selective whom they are going to book.

Agree 100% The risk of experiencing something bad/mediocre vs availability of funds (play money) in these times, will force a guy to think twice to ensure its money well spent. I think there will also be a decline in punter-heads where guys go for the cheap punt, ignoring reviews or the absense thereof, hating the experience and give up.

In the end quality always has a price. Wether the economy is booming, or not.

The analogy was simply to highlight the difference in the effect that the increase in the repo rate will have on different people .

Those with debt : pay more

Those with cash invested : more income

Obviously I am assuming that the oldies also have pensions etc, I was simply looking at the effect of the repo rate. But pensions so late in life will have for stability sake a large portion invested in interest bearing instuments as oppose to riskier stock investments, so the pension funds should also pay out more.

It is true that some farmers are affected by the drought. But there is a large percentage that is not affected by it. They export their produce and they are now receiving up to 40% more for the same produce as a year ago.
