Hospitals are not just for sick people... They also give LIFE! Where were you born Bob?

@bobmoohart: Although your remark is well-intentioned, I think you are underestimating the psychological well-being that can result from breast augmentation done well.

For example, a woman has two or three children, and after breast feeding them with her natural B cups, she looks in the mirror and sees sagging wrinkled breasts that make her embarrassed to undress in front of her partner, limit her choices in swimwear, etc. Do you think that the psychological stress this woman endures does not make her a good candidate for cosmetic surgery?

That same woman, with C (or even D) cups feels even better that ever in terms of her physical appearance and psychological confidence; isn't that worth the surgical risk as opposed to years of feeling that motherhood has robbed her of her body?

And that does not even touch on the obvious psychological benefits of reconstructive breast surgery post-mastectomy...

But even with a more pragmatic decision, say by one of the ladies here who feels that she could have a much larger client base and feel more financially secure by having cosmetic surgery (of whatever type); don't you trust that they can weigh the risks involved and know themselves well enough to make that choice? And feeling successful is also a part of feeling confident and sexy, and that has a value and importance personally outside of the purple world as well.

It is good of you to point out the factor of surgical risk, but dogmatically stating "never risk your life for something cosmetic....boobs are not worth it" is a blinkered opinion, in my view. And, BTW, many breast augmentation surgeries are done in specialist facilities, rather than general hospitals, where the risks of infection are far lower.

Personally, i dont like implants. Agree that it looks nice------until the clothes come off. And the feeling ---- nope not for me.

I am a big boob lover, but rather tiny boobs than plastic boobs. But that's just me. I am sure many others love implants.

You are not alone. I echo your sentiments completely. I once had a lady with implants. It was so obvious and I struggled to maintain an erection. These days if the pic looks anything remotely like plastic,I ask when booking. I just can't stand it.

Lalaa,

'Guys if you have nothing good to say, rather don't say anything.'

I understand your reply. I was also offended when I initially read this post as I thought it was quite insensitive.

I had my breasts removed due to cancer. I don't think people understand the trauma and emotional and mental turmoil that comes with this process. You feel like you are not a whole women. I lost my self confidence. And I know that sounds shallow, and I know now that my breasts don't define me as a person. I can only assume that a man would feel the same emotions as I did if he had to lose function of his penis?

So I had a breast reconstruction. I am happy with my boobies, and think my doctor did a very good job of making them as natural as possible.

I respect everyones preference but just be a little sensitive when you criticize, no one is perfect.

Each to his own.

I don't think it is a criticism. People are just airing legitimate preferences. It is not like they (we) are castigating women for being frauds.

I love natural boobs, reason being that they feel much better that fakes. Line up 20 woman, some with real boobs and some with fake boobs. Blindfold me, and I guarantee you I will tell the difference between fake and real one every time. I'm sure most guys would be able to do this.
These silicone filled bags also have a shelf life, and research show, have to be replaced or remove after about 10 years.
Give me the real thing above the fakes anyday.

Give me natural over fake anytime. What I really don't like are the scares, just puts me off fakes complete.

Scars and the hard ones i dislike.

I have seen and touched soft ones - and if you cannot see the scars - the it is real nice. But when i hear the are fake, it is still a turn-off (for me - I am not generalizing).
