That forum has been a really nice place with lots of friendship and help. People would lend very expensive stuff to others to try and see what they like before making decisions. Sellers would let buyers take things and use it for a week before paying to ensure they're happy with their purchase. That did come with building relationships over years though and trust with it.

I guess some people just see the good nature from outside and decide it's a place they can take advantage of others. Even I nearly fell for the sorrowful stories but never had the opportunity to make the long drive before I realised what has unfolded when this dude suddenly was selling lots of free stuff and started posting pictures of the latest tech he had, a lot of which requires a very able bodies person to use. In fact, I often wish I had 3 hands to work these things. Oh, that was another thing.

Due to the disability, lots of forum members also went and helped set up the equipment for him which is quite a shelp so he could just enjoy. Almost got caught to do that too as I got a query for advice from him and a lot of to and fro until I said I'll come do itvfor him and then got a "I was hoping you'd say that" response which triggered me to realise that he never wanted advice or assistance at all but someone else to tale the time off and come do the hard work for him, a day I'd rather spend with my family.
