@VF

I am willing to register a NPC/NPO for free.

But only if everyone onboard is in it 100% and with atleast 5 directors/ members.

Thank you Arz, I appreciate that! If it wasn't for all the single mothers that have contacted me and asked for help, I wouldn't dare. Help will not be offered unless asked for. I don't assume anything about anyone that is a mother. This will only be for mother's requesting help that are at their wits end with certain matters.

I know every single mother accepts help or asks for it at one time or another if they have the resources, but most of the ladies in contact with me have no one. One of them called me this evening just about in tears having had a hard day and I might have managed to help her in a small way with a friend of mine willing to transport her children to her over weekends when he hasn't got any other plans, which will allow her more cash saved from taxi fare and a bit more to spare for living or legal issues involving her kids. She felt a little better, but just hearing that made me feel better.

I'm meeting with him on Thursday for dinner to discuss the administrative as well as financial part of this. I'll put them in contact with each other then!

You change the world one small, random act of kindness at a time! There is value in every one of them to the world around us!

Okay, baby steps here, but 5 directors? Why? And what would that involve or what would their roles be?

Thank you Laura. You and your ladies will be roped in for sure when the basics are in place. I'm not sure what other talents your ladies possess in terms of education and ability outside of this industry, but I'm sure they would be great in assisting with fundraising/donation/volunteering initiatives if not any administrative etc.

What single mothers need most is for biological fathers and family to step up and share in the responsibilities of raising the child/children. Too often the fathers abscond and his family follows. This is the biggest strain on single mothers, lack of family support and assistance in taking care of children.

A mother will always make a plan to provided financially for her
children. It is more the moral
support you need from the father and family when there is a crisis. Both parents being actively present
in a child's life is vital.

There are some ladies in the
industry who are truly struggling on
their own with only an aging female family member to assist with
raising their children. If the person
is ill or needs to be relieved of her duties the mother needs to rush back home to take care of the
children. She cannot work during this period and obviously under financial strain while she is not working.

Any assistance received will be
welcomed and appreciated. No mother wants to feel like a failure, however her children's well being is far more important than her pride.

Spot on but I personally think any plan a mother makes is never failure, even if it is help from others. Relinquishing pride for ones children is remarkable as for most, it's a very difficult thing to do, yet mother's do it with ease.

I don't see any shame in asking for help as two parents are not there to share in the costs etc and often, the absent parent is the one causing even greater burden on these mothers with all kinds of malicious acts. It's very frustrating.

And before this comes up, I know it happens the other way around too with single fathers and women that use children against them etc, before anyone hammers me for taking sides, but this isn't about that!

Whatever the situation, we all need help at one time or another and many do ask for it.

@VF

The reason for 5 director is for transparency and decision making.

If you want to do this right, you must do it right from the beginning.

No one person can decide who get what or who recieves what.

I just want to point out there are single mothers who are not in this industry also struggling and suffering .. we must not become too shortsighted
The social problems in SA are far and wife and affect a large and varying number of individuals

But as I said good luck as i am s firm believer that every little bit of good does make a change
