If you want him unbanned, make a donation towards one of esa's charities in his name and send the proof of payment to esa.

Dear members and advertisers.

The rule will not have an exception for anyone.

We constantly get request for the rules to be listed yet the few rules that are listed do not get read or followed by all, then when someone gets banned for not following the rules everyone wants to get up in arms.

The rule is simple, ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH ON THIS FORUM.

If you feel that you are unable to follow the rules then it's best that you do not participate on this forum.

It is not unusual for forums to have a set language rule many of the large active forums worldwide are English only we follow this approach.

I will say it again this forum is a free service that no member or advertiser pays to be part of. You either follow the rules or don't participate on the forum.
Its use is a privilege, IT'S USE IS A PRIVILEGE, Yes I am shouting because it seems that I am not being heard. Put simply, speak any language other than English and you will be banned without notice, without debate, irrespective of how popular you are or how popular you think you may be.

You will be banned for 30 days or you can pay R500 towards charity, SPCA or Abraham Kriel childrens home.

Antionette

Think the language is due caused conflict because numerous threads were being started using only Afrikaans or Zulu.

This caused a few to feel left out and also made moderating the forum difficult.
Having said that logic should be used when applying the only English rule I mean to be banned for saying a word or phrase in a different language is in my humble opinion draconian.

But I guess the counter argument would be where do we draw the line.

Good old South African censorship?
I look forward to ESA celebrating the SOWETO uprising on 16 June 1976, when the youth rose up against the authorities imposing Afrikaans on the students of the day.
